【Notice No.42】Important Reminders during Christmas and New Year Holidays

Dear all,

It has been a very challenging year. The hurdles we all faced together with the onset of COVID-19 has affected each one of us at un unprecedented scale.

Taiwan successfully contained the outbreak since its emergence in 2019 but emerging variants of concern continuously put us at risk. As Christmas and New Year holidays are approaching, it will inevitably enhace cross-regional travels which may lead to another nationwide infection. In tackling the emerging variants and those of breakthrough infections, we still have a long way to go to coexist with the virus with new health protocols in place.

The most crucial methods to keep yourself protected are strengthening your immune system and maintaining personal hygiene because no one can guarantee the efficacy of other medical protections – be it mix-and-match vaccines or booster dose provisions.

In response to the influx of travelers around Chinese New Year, Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) announced a new program from 2021/12/14 to 2022/02/14. For more detailed information, please check out the below website: link

Hence, we would like to remind everyone to pay close attention to CECC announcements and latest news reports during the above-mentioned duration. Avoid unnecessary gatherings, complete COVID-19 screening procedures such as temperature checks and entrance restrictions, and stay alert to any possible scenario is the best way to confront uncertainty.

We hope you are staying healthy and safe during the upcoming holidays!
