NCHU Taiwan-Europe Connectivity Scholarship

Introduction

Taiwan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) established the Taiwan-Europe Connectivity Scholarship in 2021 to encourage European students to undertake short-
term studies in Taiwan and enhance Mandarin Chinese proficiency. National Chung Hsing University (NCHU) starts implementing the scholarship from 2024 Spring semester. The scholarship slots are reviewed and adjusted each year.

Eligibility

  1. Students (without a Chinese or Taiwanese nationality) enrolling at a university in the below-mentioned countries are eligible for the scholarship: Czech Republic, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, The Netherlands, Poland, Spain, Sweden.
  2. Nominated by partner universities with Exchange Program

Selection Process

  1.  In the exchange program nomination process, partners from eligible countries should nominate students for the scholarship at the same time. They are asked to put priority ranking for eligible students as a way of nomination. The assessments for the priority ranking shall be decided by our partners.
  2. NCHU will distribute the scholarship slots to each institution as evenly as possible. The priority ranking helps us decide who shall receive the scholarship.

• If any changes to the selection process, we will announce them to our partners before the exchange nomination starts.
• Every student can apply and receive the scholarship once.
