I. In order to expand learning domains and explore international perspective of our students, these regulations are formulated to encourage them to pursue further education at the partner universities in foreign countries and Mainland China.
一、本校為增廣學生學習領域暨國際視野，鼓勵學生前往國外及大陸地區姊妹校進修，特訂定本要點。

II. These regulations are applicable to the exchange students who require the nomination of the Office of International Affairs (OIA) to study at partner universities.
二、凡需以學校名義推薦至姊妹校進修之交換學生均適用本要點。

III. The University’s students who wish to apply for studying at partner universities should submit an application to the OIA with the following documents. After the application is approved by the International Academic Exchange Review Committee, a nomination letter will be issued in name of the Vice President for International Affairs. The following documents should be attached:
三、本校學生申請至姊妹校進修，應檢附下列文件向國際事務處提出申請，經國際學術交流審查委員會審查合格後，以國際長名義寄發推薦函。檢附文件如下：

(I) An application Form 申請表
(II) Two recommendation letters from teachers 兩封教師之推薦函
(III) One copy of school academic transcripts of all semesters in Chinese 在校中文歷年成績單乙份
(IV) Valid “Test Result” of foreign language proficiency test (unnecessary for the applicants to study in Mainland China)
有效期限內外語能力檢定測驗成績單。申請至大陸地區交換者免附
(V) An Autobiography and Study Plan(Statement of Purpose), written in English for the applicants to study in foreign countries, or in Chinese for those to study in Mainland China.自傳及讀書計畫乙份。申請至國外交換者以英文撰寫，至大陸地區交換者得以中文撰寫
(VI) One copy of Parental Consent 家長同意書乙份
(VII) Any documents helpful for review其他有助於審查之資料

IV. Review Criteria for nominating exchange students to the partner universities

四、本校推薦至姊妹校為交換學生之審查標準如下：
(I) Partner universities in foreign countries國外姊妹校:
1. Academic Performance 30% 在校成績：百分之三十
2. Foreign Language Proficiency 35% 外語能力：百分之三十五
3. Autobiography and Study Plan (Statement of Purpose) 30% 自傳及讀書計畫：百分之三十
4. Letter of Recommendation 5%推薦函: 百分之五
(II) Partner universities in Mainland China:大陸地區姊妹校
1. Academic Performance 50% 在校成績：百分之五十
2. Autobiography and Study Plan (Statement of Purpose) 45% 自傳及讀書計畫：百分之四十五
3. Letter of Recommendation 5% 推薦函: 百分之五
The scores of applicants based on the review standards shall be forwarded to the International Academic Exchange Review Committee for discussion nomination.
前項審查評分送國際學術交流審查委員會討論決議推薦人選

V. Apart from the Vice President for International Affairs, the International Academic Exchange Review Committee is also composed of the Vice President for Academic Affairs, Vice President for Research and Development, and members recommended by colleges (one per college). If a committee member cannot attend the meeting, he/she can delegate a person to attend the meeting on his/her behalf. The review meeting will be convened by the Vice President for International Affairs, and can only be held if attended by a majority of all members. The Academic Exchange Division Chief and Foreign Student Affairs Division Chief of OIA shall also be present.
五、國際學術交流審查小組之成員除國際長外，其餘則由教務長、研發長及各學院所推薦之委員各一名所組成。委員不克出席時，可派員代理出席。審查會議由國際長召集，需經二分之一以上委員出席始得召開，國際事務處學術交流組及大陸事務組組長列席

VI. The period of exchange for exchange students shall be restricted to one semester in principle. Students are allowed to apply for the exchange twice in the same educational system.
六、交換學生於交換學校交換期限以一學期為原則，同一學制內得申請交換二次

VII. During the period from the time of application for an exchange program until the student is approved to study abroad, exchange students must remain in the same educational system. Otherwise, their eligibility to participate in the exchange program will be revoked, and they will be required to reapply.

七、交換學生於申請交換及獲准赴外交換期間，應維持同一學制班別，若為不同學制班別，則應取消赴外交換資格，由學生重新申請之。

VIII. During the period of exchange, students are required to be registered at the University.
八、本校學生交換期間仍需持有本校學籍

IX. After exchange students complete registration at the partner universities, they will be treated as students at the partner universities, and must obey the rules thereof. The students cannot damage the reputation of either the University or the partner universities. After completing the exchange, the students must submit a learning report, and apply for credit exemption according to the University’s credits exemption regulations within one month upon returning.
九、交換學生於交換學校完成註冊手續後，即視同為該校學生，應遵守該校一切規定，並不得做出有損兩校校譽情事，結束國外交換計畫，應於返校後一個月內繳交在交換學校研讀心得報告乙份，並依本校學生學分抵免辦法辦理學分抵免

X. These regulations were reviewed and passed in the International Affairs Meeting and are implemented upon the President’s approval. The same shall apply to future amendments.
