According to NCHU’s Regulations Governing the Admission of Foreign Students (外籍學生招收辦法), the term “foreign students” refer to those who are neither nationals of the Republic of China (R.O.C.) as defined in Article 2 of the Law of Nationality, nor overseas Chinese students. Also, those students with dual nationalities (of a R.O.C. nationality and a non-R.O.C. nationality) are not eligible to submit admission applications based on NCHU’s Regulations Governing the Admission of Foreign Students (外籍學生招收辦法) within eight years after the loss of the R.O.C. nationality with the permission from the Ministry of the Interior.
The above restriction does not apply to any nationals who are recommended to come to study in Taiwan by any foreign government, institution, school or cultural and education organization in accordance with the Cultural Exchange Agreement (文化合作協議).
